E-taxi support programme

If you want to purchase an e-taxi as a taxi company, it was possible to apply for a financial subsidy until 31 December 2025.

Course description

Overview of the expired subsidy programme:

  • Funding of 10,000 euros per vehicle (for net acquisition costs below 30,000 euros, the funding amounts to one third of these costs).
  • There is a "climate speed bonus" of ten per cent of the subsidy amount (maximum 1,000 euros) for the first 100 vehicles. Prerequisite: The vehicle must be ordered within two months of the subsidy application being approved.
  • The subsidy must be indicated by a sticker on the e-taxi, which is specified by the Department for Climate and Environmental Protection.
  • Duration of the funding programme: 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2025(or until no funding is available).
  • If you would like to convert your taxi into an inclusive taxi, there is additional funding available. You can find more information under "Links & Downloads".

The e-taxi funding programme ended as planned on 31.12.2025. No more applications can be submitted. Applications that have already been approved are not affected by the funding stop. The funding is still reserved.
